ThorntonUniform
Our uniform can be bought online from www.termtimewear.com, www.gdbclothing.co.uk, or shops such as Natashas, The Uniform Shop or Embroidery In House. These will include the school logo. You can also get basic uniform at most supermarkets. Our school uniform colour is a combination of royal blue, sky blue, white with grey. Please note that you do NOT need to have jumpers with logos on as long as they are in the school colours.
Uniform Overview
The uniform is as follows:
- Royal blue sweatshirt / jumper / cardigan with or without school logo
- Sky blue polo shirt with or without school logo, or white shirt
- Grey trousers or shorts
- Grey skirt or pinafore
- Blue/ white gingham dress
- Book bag with or without school logo
- Black shoes
- Trainers are not considered suitable footwear.
Pupils who are wearing skirts must also wear plain socks (either short or knee length) or black / grey tights.
Please note skirts should be an appropriate length and a style which will allow the pupil to sit comfortably on the floor.
PE Kit
Children need a change of clothes and footwear for PE (for health and hygiene reasons) and a drawstring bag in which to keep the kit at school.
Girls and boys wear:
- Plain white T-shirt
- Black/navy shorts
- Plain navy/black jogging bottoms and sweatshirt (Y1-6)
- Drawstring kit bag
- Suitable trainers and pumps
All school uniform and PE kit MUST be named.
Jewellery
The only permitted jewellery that may be worn is:
One pair of stud earrings – no other piercings are permitted.
A smart/sensible wrist watch.
Jewellery is the responsibility of the pupil and not the school. Lost or damaged items will not be refunded.
All jewellery must be removed during practical lessons, e.g. during PE lessons and science experiments.
School Bags
Pupils must use a book bag to carry their books and equipment. It should hold A4-sized work books comfortably without causing any damage.
School bags featuring inappropriate images, slogans or phrases are not permitted.
The school encourages pupils to bring non-valuable bags to school. The school will not be liable for lost or damaged school bags.
